The different types of Dentures include:

• • Complete Dentures – This includes both upper and lower Dentures. This is often suited to Denture patients with full teeth clearance or those missing a significant amount of teeth.
  • Partial Dentures – For patients who are missing a few teeth, or have a few teeth left. 
  • Acrylic Dentures – The Denture is acrylic with metal clasps, typically with a 5-7 year lifespan.
  • Chrome Dentures – A mostly metal Denture with acrylic teeth, typically with a lifespan of 10-20 years.

Denture Appointment Process

1. Consultation & Impression Appointment– At your Denture Consultation with Brisbane Smiles, you will meet your Dentist to assess and discuss your best treatment options. At this appointment, impressions may also be taken. At your Denture Consultation, you will receive a personalised price estimate for treatment.
2. Secondary Impression Appointment – We will take secondary impressions for a more detailed impression and shade matching.
3. Bite Appointment – At this appointment, your bite will be taken. Our in-house Dental Laboratory will then make your “Trial Smile” denture from your impressions and bite.
4. Denture Trial Smile – You will be able to try your Dentures and final adjustments will be made.
5. Denture & Review Appointment – You will receive your final Denture. Your Dentist will assess your treatment outcomes and ensure your oral health is optimal.
