Appointments
Brisbane Smiles will customise all Appointments to suit the needs of individuals. Digital Smile Design, 3D Printed Temporary Moulds are used to provide you with Trial Veneers/Restorations to ensure you get an opportunity to test out the new shape and colour before refinements are made and final restorations made in our Dental Laboratory. The time for this discussion is prior to having teeth removed.
A typical Appointment Sequence for Cosmetic Dentistry involves the following stages.
Consultation
Your First Appointment will be a talk, look, see leaving you with an understanding of the different options and you will see a Smile Simulation on the screen
Teeth Whitening and Veneer Preparation
Zoom Teeth Whitening is completed in just 90 minutes and Veneer Preparation is then performed
Smile Preview
A Treatment report will be presented along with a Smile Preview inside your mouth so you can see and believe!
Smile Refinement
Refinement to your Trial Veneers will be completed and final shapes and shade scans taken
Planning & Discussion
Final Planning and a Clean with be completed
Veneer Insertion
Your New Veneers are Inserted and in just a 4 week timeframe you will have a New Smile!
Cosmetic Dentist Consultations
Brisbane Smiles is focused on providing customised care to each individual and this starts from your Consultation Appointment.
You will meet your Dentist and discuss any concerns and goals for treatment. An Assessment will be undertaken and any required 3D Teeth Scans will be discussed and undertaken. Your Dentist will be descriptive in the likely outcome for treatment along with the risks and potential complications associated with the relevant treatment. You will be involved and see your Smile Simulation be created by your Dentist right in front of you. Individual teeth shapes/lengths/colours can be adjusted to give you a realistic idea on what can be achieved.
The Dentist will be able to discuss your condition and discuss the relevant treatment options and arrange a Second Appointment where a Smile Preview will be shown inside your mouth!

Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain Veneers are a proven cosmetic dental treatment that allows our Brisbane Dentists to transform your smile. They are a thin custom-made porcelain tooth surface bonded to your teeth to create a beautiful, yet natural new smile.
Veneers are used to correct:
- Discoloured or dark teeth
- Uneven or poorly shaped teeth
- Spaced or Crowded teeth
Porcelain Veneers have many different designs and can be made of many different materials. Porcelain Veneers require a technical process that our team is experienced in.
Porcelain Crowns
Porcelain Crowns are used to restore the enamel layer on front and back teeth that are broken or weakened teeth due to oversized fillings or root canal treatments or fractures and can also be used where teeth are are worn, discoloured, rotated, poorly shaped, cracked. Porcelain Crowns can be used to correct discolouration, worn teeth, broken teeth, a large cavity, spaced teeth, and crowded teeth.
Firstly, when a Porcelain Crown is made, the tooth is prepared to allow for a thin spacing where the Porcelain is to fit around the tooth. A precise impression is made and the Porcelain Crown is constructed. When the crown has been made by our dental laboratory, the crown is then brought back to the mouth and bonded into position, covering the tooth to slightly below the gums, replacing the missing enamel.
Teeth Whitening
Professional teeth whitening is a simple cosmetic dental treatment. Its primary purpose is to restore whiteness to your teeth and brilliance to your smile.
Modern teeth whitening treatments are quick and have immediate and noticeable outcomes. These procedures can be performed either at your local dental surgery with zoom whitening or at home. Teeth whitening is a procedure however that should best be conducted by a qualified dentist in a sterile and controlled environment such as a dental surgery.
Gum-lifts
Gum-lifts are used to:
Removing excess growth of Gum Tissue changing a square tooth to rectangular tooth
Smiles: Gummy smile reduction (often in conjunction with Porcelain Veneers)
Function: Exposing hidden, healthy tooth to assist in rebuilding the tooth
Aesthetics: Adjusting the Gum-line to improve appearance of the gum, tooth and smile
Gummy smiles are characterised by short, square teeth with excessive upper gums displayed when smiling.
After Gum-lift there will be less gum-line displayed in the smile and teeth length ratio to width should become more appealing with a rectangular length to width ratio.
