What sets a Brisbane Smiles Check-up and Clean apart?
Unlike some dental practices, your first visit is not a quick rushed visit. We approach your first visit to get to know you and find out about your mouth in great detail.

You’ll be seeing both a General Dentist and an Oral Health Therapist/Dental Hygienist during the Check-up and Clean visit. You’ll be receiving the best dental care, with a comprehensive approach to allow the team to utilise our advanced technology and give your mouth a thorough check-up with a comfortable clean.

There are a couple of other First Appointments we offer to best suit your situation:

We offer a Consultation if you are after specific information regarding a particular Service. Great for finding out more about having Veneers or Dental Implants!

We also offer Emergency Appointment so that we can stabilise a dental emergency such as pain or a broken tooth prior to returning for a check-up and clean

To prepare for your First Appointment, you will need to complete your personal, medical and dental history form. You will receive an authenticated link following booking and you can securely complete this form on your mobile device.

During Your New Patient Appointment

In your first appointment with us, we will:

  Meet you and understand your concerns

  Perform a thorough dental and medical history relevant to your dental health

  Meet and understand your concerns

  Perform a thorough Dental and Medical History relevant to your dentla health

  Perform a Comprehensive Dental Examination

  Take relevant records including Photographs and Intraoral X-Rays

 Take relevant OPG

 Take relevant 3D Teeth Scans using the 3-Shape Trios Scanner

 Discuss your tooth health and the aspects of your smile that are of concern

 Detail potential treatments

 Detail further investigations which may be required for more complex treatments Basic Scale and Polish of the teeth (114) and Fluoride Treatment (121) when indicated (subject to availability may be delayed to second appointment)

  (Periodontal Cleans and Additional Clean Appointments are additional costs)

  Provide you with customised Oral Hygiene Instruction (141) – Brushing, Flossing and other cleaning techniques

Health Funds

All Health Funds are Accepted. Brisbane Smiles is able to process your Health Funds claims on the spot using Hicaps and Tyro Electronic Terminals.

To provide our patients with quality care and access to the best technologies you may have a gap payment to make after your health fund claim is processed. NO Gap Charge if Health Fund benefits are equal to or greater than the New Patient Fee.
